The PJL introduces a modern, fan-focused model to jumping. Across major international venues, it combines elite athletic performance with innovative formats, enhanced transparency, and best-in-class free-to-view broadcasting – offering teams the biggest prize pot in the discipline’s history, securing the long-term financial security of the sport whilst enabling riders to dedicate themselves fully to their craft in a full-time capacity, maximising performance output.
Events will be staged at major venues across the globe, spanning North America, Europe, and the Middle East.
The PJL follows the natural movement of the competitive circuit, designed to prevent over-taxation of both horse and rider.
The PJL has prioritised venues that offer optimal footing, stabling, and other equestrian operational needs. Strong consideration has also been given to local temperatures, ensuring the highest level of welfare is retained for horse, rider, and fan.
Each event is a 3-day outdoor weekend. A festival of immersive entertainment and sporting drama.
Each PJL event delivers high-stakes, merit-based competition, designed to heighten intensity, rivalry, and sporting jeopardy while showcasing elite jumping on iconic international stages.
1.60m classes are reserved exclusively for the final day of competition, limiting repeated jumping at maximum height and ensuring horses are not overtaxed across the event.
$100 million in prize money is up for grabs during the PJL’s inaugural season: April - November 2027.
McCourt Global & their Executive Chairman, Frank McCourt, has guaranteed a prize pot of $300 million across the first 3-seasons.
Equestrian experts guide everything we do at the PJL, ensuring we uphold the highest standards for riders and horses.
The PJL has prioritised venues with the best conditions for horses and taken local temperatures into account in the development of the league’s global schedule.
